Bottesford Egg Run
As usual I was a bit late, so did not expect to get to the ride in from Gunthorpe cafe.
So it was a nice surprise to be in the car park by the Unicorn, when the group came past, Chris, bless him, had seen us, and pulled in so we could join them.
Arriving at the Red Lion, Bottesford,
there were hundreds already there.
The start was delayed because some fool in his car had pulled out on two bikes on the A52, fortunately we were told that the rider was not too seriously hurt.
Because of the accident, a detour was arranged, and it made for a much nicer ride really.
Usual chaos round Grantham, but all arrived safely.
We were told at the meeting, 458 bikes had made the trip, that's the second biggest rideout I have ever been in, bikings great.
Then on to Melton Mowbray.
This is always a much smaller affair, probably around 120 bikes, but still a good show.
More biscuits and hot cross buns, lovely.
Then on to Joe's, once again the girls had been hard at it, making hot dogs and lovely hot drinks for us.
Thank you so much, Cath and Julie, we love you.
On the way home, Les Janice Jane and I called in to see Big John, he did not see us tho,
he had not long had laser treatment, and was doing captain webb impersonations in the kitchen.
And on home, apart from a small shower close to home, another sunny dry run.
